犯罪记录 & Sexual Misconduct Check.  Oregon law and District policy require a criminal record check and a sexual misconduct check. Fingerprinting is required in some cases such as chaperones for overnight trips.  If fingerprinting is required, the volunteer is expected to cover the cost of the fingerprinting. Contractors complete a district SB155 criminal history check. The principal/director or their representative verifies with Risk Management (503-785-8030, ext # 8546, or safety@orecity.k12.or.us) which level of check is required.  When the check is completed, the contractor will be contacted to inform them of their clearance.

Child Abuse Prevention:  When a contract requires the contractor, or contractor’s employees to have direct contact with 学生, the contractor agrees to train employees annually on the prevention, identification and reporting of child abuse and sexual conduct as described in Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 339.400.  Training is available on the Oregon City School District website. This training must be complete prior to the contracted employee having direct contact with Oregon City School District 学生.

安全:  To ensure the safety of District 工作人员 and 学生, the contractor must take reasonable precautions to ensure that individuals convicted of crimes listed in 口服补液盐342.143 do not provide contracted services to the district.  此外, the contractor shall provide timely notification to the district once they become aware that an employee providing services within the district has been arrested or charged with a crime listed in 口服补液盐342.143, and remove said individual from district premises until the issue is resolved.

The contractor shall make an immediate report to the school administrator or a district administrator if they have information that could impact the safety or security of the school, 学生, 或员工.  This includes but is not limited to, allegations of sexual misconduct by 学生, 工作人员, contractors or 志愿者, 暴力威胁, and restraining orders/no contact orders involving parents.  除了, the contractor shall immediately report safety concerns to the appropriate authorities (Oregon Child Abuse Hotline, 执法, SafeOregon Tipline, 等).

For contracted services that occur off site:

  • The contractor shall not allow 志愿者 or contractors to perform services at district locations, at the contractor’s sites, or virtually who have not passed a district criminal history and sexual conduct check. Cleared 志愿者 shall be supervised by the provider.
